Elisabeth Montemurro is a Digital Engagement and Communication Strategist.
With over a decade of experience in media and politics, she’s produced digital content for UpNorthNews, Opportunity Wisconsin, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and Loyola University Chicago.
She’s also worked on digital strategy & consumer marketing teams at Tribune Publishing, helping to launch coordinated editorial programs such as LA Times Expeditions, LA Times Food Bowl, & the award winning Dirty John podcast.
She holds a Masters of Communication in Digital Media & Storytelling from Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communication
and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Trained in ethnographic methods, Elisabeth received honorable mention in the 2013 Carl Couch Internet Research Award for her paper, “Interacting with #BindersFullofWomen,” was named “Outstanding Graduate Student” in the School of Communication and was selected as the Student Commencement Speaker. Her paper, “#DearCongress: a public letter” was published in First Monday.
When offline, Elisabeth enjoys running, wilderness travel, and cheering on her alma mater, the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
